Her hand moved over his, leaning against him. “The storm’s over I think…” The clock flashed three AM and she could hear the crickets outside. It was super quiet and peaceful.
“Sounds like it,” Dan nodded. “Though, I am not getting up and neither are you.” He said, voice laughing but quite accurate.
“Mmmm… I’m not going anywhere.” Over the last few months it was easier to just stay down. “Not that I mind…” She felt safe and comfortable where she was.
“I hear it’s what I’m good at.” She laughed and moved so she was laying back on her side of the bed.
“Uh-huh,” Dan said, moving to spoon her, his hands placed softly over her stomach.

Jules shot him a look like her father had countless times. “You’ll live.”“You learn to block it out, love…” she smirked lightly.
Dan faked an eyeroll. “That sounds like so much work,” He whined.

“Wolfy-hearing makes that really hard,” He said, kissing back softly.

Jules leaned up and kissed him gently, “Ignore it… ” she whispered against his lips.
“Still doesn’t mean you have to share them with me.” Jules answered, not pulling her finger away because he wasn’t biting THAT hard.
Dan smirked as he pulled his finger back and gently scratched her nose. “I like sharing.”
“I don’t, you should know that by now.” Jules laughed and moved his finger but laced her fingers through his. “We’re not gonna sleep tonight are we.”
